We were very excited to find this store and even furnished 3 rooms in our home with their furniture. The excitement ended the minute we got our first delivery and half of our furniture was missing. We then had to schedule a second delivery later in the week (2nd time we had to take off of work) and still did not receive all of our items. Suddenly 2 of the chairs we ordered were out of stock and would not be in for another month. We were made aware of these items being out of stock by a generic system generated email. I called for almost two weeks trying to reach a manager and conveniently one was never available and never returned any of my calls. I spoke to one finally after I told the very rude customer service rep, that I would hold until I someone was available because I was sick of waiting for a return call back. He did give a small discount on the chairs for all of the trouble. Fast forward 5 months later and the furniture is terrible quality. The back of our couch is totally uneven. The coffee table and end table are stripped of their wood after dusting with Murphy's Oil (per Steinhafel's instruction) and when you set anything on the table it leaves a mark. We had a technician come out to "assess" the damage and we were told it was just normal wear and tear. We have 2 other tables from the same line of furniture and oddly enough those don't seem to have this "normal wear and tear" and I have used the same products to dust them with. Nothing about the damage on our tables is normal for furniture less than 6 months old. I received an email saying the case was closed. I responded saying that I would not accept that and would like to talk to a manager and I received a response stating it was reviewed by a manager and it is still closed. I requested to speak to one anyway and no response. I have since reached out to Steinhafels via phone several times requesting to speak to a manager and once again a manager is conveniently never available and I have still not received a call back. I would not recommend this place to anyone!! Their furniture is as terrible as their customer service. I wish I had read their terrible BBB and yelp reviews prior to shopping here. It seems as those these types of issues happen frequently.
Horrible customer service and product as well. We purchase mattress Simmons Beautyrest , after one month mattress sag on one side . Customer service wont even bother to answer my emails, I call to the store on Saturday asking for manager , they took my info and promise the store manager will call me back shortly . Today is Thursday already. No calls no emails. Really , I spent so much money on the mattress and here I am , cant sleep on my new saggy mattress. Don't send emails to customer service, they not going to help, they do not work for customers, they working for a companies ,who provide bed quality of the furniture . This business is not to satisfy people needs , they are there to satisfy vendors, period.
I have never in my life dealt with a worse customer service than this place!! i purchased a couch and a loveseat from here. The couch was ripped upon delivery. I noticed after they had left and called immediately. I was told that they did not rip the couch and that we must have damaged it ourselves. It is not covered under our warranty. They are unwilling to do anything to rectify this issue. Do not buy anything from this store!
Have always had a great experience at Steinhafels, especially during their sales periods. I feel that I get great quality at a good price, which is exactly what I’m looking for in furniture.
This store is AWFUL! The quality of their furniture is terrible and they do not back their products. We received furniture that was damaged. We called them back about it and were told that it was not damaged upon delivery and that it was not covered under the warranty that we purchased. They were not willing to do anything for it so now we are stuck with furniture that looks as though we've had it for 30 years. I spoke to several people in their customer service department and each one is more rude and unhelpful than the next. I cannot stress enough that no one should purchase anything from these stores!!! I only wish I had read their Yelp reviews prior to going there. The 1 1/2 stars they have are very generous!
